Writing a book is such an achievement, but that doesn’t mean the stages after it should be rushed.
Once a book is written, the next important step is to get beta-readers and a developmental edit so you can tell if you’ve missed out on something major in your story. This should happen before you consider an Editor, as you want to ensure the story makes sense and is whole.
More often than not, being the author can mean you overlook certain aspects. It’s likely you’ve spent weeks, months, or even years with your book and you know anything and everything about the story, characters, and world. What might seem obvious to you though, might not be for your readers.
I can provide a fresh perspective that can help highlight these issues. I’ll assess your story for character inconsistencies, plotholes, or flaws in continuity. My feedback will be honest and constructive to help you polish up your story and make it the best it can possibly be before you move on to editing or publishing it.
I’ve personally written post-apocalyptic sci-fi, but I read and assess any genre of fiction.
